Embryonic Stem Cell

Pluripotent stem cell derived from the inner cell mass of a blastocyst*.

Adult Stem Cell

Undifferentiated cells found throughout the body that divide to replenish dying cells and regenerate damaged tissues.

Pluripotent stem cell that can be generated directly from adult cells or by cell-reprogramming*.

Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell (iPSC)
